Sustainable Hospitality in Action: The 2025 JAM Impact Report

At Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group, hospitality has always meant more than putting a beautiful meal on the table. It’s also about the places where gatherings unfold and the communities connected to them.

JAM partners with distinctive venues throughout the Greater Philadelphia region and across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. These historic houses, gardens, arboretums, and cultural landmarks bring people together for weddings, nonprofit fundraisers, corporate gatherings, and celebrations.

Each year, our Impact Report highlights the work happening across JAM. It takes a closer look at how our kitchens, venues, and team are working to operate more sustainably and support the partners and communities connected to our events.

Celebrating in Places that Matter

In 2025, JAM hosted more than 740 events across 15 venues and served over 100,000 meals throughout the region. Along the way, those events generated over $3.3 million in revenue for nonprofit venue partners. These partner organizations are devoted to missions ranging from historic preservation and environmental stewardship to arts and education. Every wedding, fundraiser, or corporate gathering hosted there helps introduce guests to the work those organizations do every day.

A Sustainable Approach to Catering

Thoughtful cooking starts with respect for ingredients. Our chefs plan carefully so that guests enjoy generous meals. At the same time, they work to keep excess to a minimum. The kitchen shares remaining prepared food as part of a daily staff meal, while vegetable trim and plate scraps are collected and sent to nearby farms where they are transformed into compost.

Last year alone, JAM composted more than 50,000 pounds of food scraps. This process returns nutrients to the soil and helps close the loop between kitchen and farm.

Investing in the Future of Our Venues

Sustainability also shapes the spaces where events take place. This year marked the installation of a solar energy system at The Barn at Cauffiel, helping generate renewable electricity on-site and supporting long-term energy resilience for the venue.

Projects like this help ensure that the historic venues and outdoor event spaces throughout the Greater Philadelphia region continue to thrive for generations of gatherings to come.

Giving Back to the Philadelphia Community

Hospitality extends beyond the events we host. Through the JAM Giving Committee, our team participates in volunteer initiatives throughout the year that support organizations across the Philadelphia area.

In 2025, employees participated in environmental cleanups, Philabundance meal preparation, community donation drives, and local fundraising events that strengthen neighborhoods across the region.
