Waterloo Village

Safeguarding one of New Jersey’s historic treasures.

As a remarkably well-preserved example of a 19th Century canal town and the site of a 400-year-old Lenape Indian village, Waterloo Village is an incredibly valuable piece of New Jersey history. Currently stewarded by the Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Parks and Forestry, Waterloo is open to the public as part of Allamuchy Mountain State Park and home to many events and educational programs to teach and inform visitors about the past. When you choose Waterloo Village as the setting for your event, a portion of proceeds will go towards the preservation and restoration of the site’s 26 historic buildings and grounds.
