Molly Jo, better known as MJ, joined JAM in 2023 as Assistant Venue Manager and Event Designer at Tyler Arboretum. After spending a few years in event planning she fell in love with weddings specifically and how the creativity, personality, and fun that creating a couples special day brings had her utilizing all of her skills and passion to bring to life really meaningful gatherings for loved ones. Looking to dive deeper into this art form and gain quality experience she set her sights on working with JAM. Born and raised in Delco working at the arboretum has brought her back home for work, although when not there she can be found not far away where she lives in South Philly going out to eat on Passyunk or hosting friends for Eagles games with her partner Ben and black cat Luna. She keeps her foot in the door of her old flame theatre by serving on the advisory board of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and doing freelance lighting design for local shows and concerts.

Favorite JAM Dish and why?

My favorite thing I have had that we make is actually our hot apple cider, which may be a left field answer with all of our delicious dishes, but the rich blends of spice and warmth have stuck with me since my first sip, which I think is a testament to how detailed our kitchen is! Even the things you wouldn’t think much about can surprise you and leave an impression… and a craving.
