Cindy Nguyen
Director of Staffing
She/Her
Cindy joined the JAMily as a server in summer 2012 and has spent the last decade rising through the ranks from server to event captain to assistant chief of staff and now the director of staffing. “I grew up with JAM, almost literally and it has allowed me to meet people I would never have met otherwise and eat delicious food I probably wouldn’t be able to afford if I didn’t work here. And of course being part of someone’s special day is also a perk! I like to watch the groom’s face while everyone is watching the bride walk down the aisle. There’s a lot of details there that most people miss.” When Cindy isn’t in the office or working an event, you’ll catch her watching classic sitcoms or cooking competitions shows (go figure) or her most recent obsession: korean dramas. “All my friends are at JAM,” Cindy explains, “so work never feels like work. A lot of my “free” time is spent either watching TV or at work just because I want to hang out with my friends.”
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Matthew Perry aka Chandler from “Friends” – there’s a lot behind this but basically “Friends” taught me English so the show itself holds a lot of sentimental value for me. Matthew Perry was my first celebrity crush and I grew up watching him be green flags around and just raise my standards through the roof. I always wanted to meet him and shake his hand and tell him how much he made me laugh.
