The Duke Sculpture Garden is part of the Dixon Mansion Estate, one of Delaware County’s most historic and architecturally significant mansions. Today the property is home to the Community Arts Center, whose programming provides arts education to artists at all stages of their creative journey. The beautifully manicured gardens outside feature a wood-fired pizza oven, a cozy firepit, and a fairytale-style stone tower. Inside, the atrium-style art gallery hosts an ever-changing schedule of exhibitions and doubles as a distinctive ballroom and event space.

Inspiring Creativity and Artistic Expression

The Community Arts Center (CAC) in Wallingford, PA was founded by a group of local artists in 1948 with the mission of nurturing artists of all levels and encouraging broad participation in the arts. Today it operates as a nonprofit organization offering countless opportunities for people to create and enjoy the visual arts, including art classes for all ages in a diversity of mediums, including ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, jewelry, photography, sculpture, muraling, mosaics, and others.

CAC's pre-kindergarten “ARTstart” and “Lucky Charms” programs aim to instill a love of art in young children, while fostering creativity, encouraging cooperation, and understanding. For the broader community, the "ART to go" outreach program delivers arts programs tailored to meet the needs of groups and organizations throughout the Delaware Valley, either by complementing existing curriculums or creating new opportunities for people who might not otherwise get to experience the arts.
