The Opulent Ambiance
of a Bygone Era

Curtis Hall, originally built in 1893 as a music ballroom on the country estate of publishing magnate Cyrus Curtis, is today a gorgeously restored event space featuring hand-painted period murals, dual lounges, and a festive clear-top tent over the paving stone courtyard. The remainder of the estate became the surrounding Curtis Arboretum, a forty-five acre public greenspace of trees, rolling lawns, ornamental gardens, and water features, all designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (of Central Park fame).

The old-timey opulence of Curtis Hall and the surrounding gardens, lawns, and woodlands offer a truly lovely and memorable setting for weddings large and small.

Curtis Hall itself offers an easy space to hold corporate and non-profit events including meetings, holiday parties, and much more, and in the warmer months the tented paving stone patio can accommodate even larger gatherings.

Restoring a Public Greenspace
and Historic Hall

Curtis Arboretum is managed by Cheltenham Township as a public greenspace available to all. In 2017 Jeffrey A. Miller Catering joined the township in restoring and transforming Curtis Hall into the gorgeous event space we have today.

The project included restoring the Olmstead gardens around the building, converting the original gardening shed into a catering kitchen, installing dressing rooms and lounges, adding hand-painted period murals to the four interior walls, and installing a climate-controlled clear-top tent over the adjacent courtyard. Rental fees here now contribute to preserving the hall and the beautiful grounds surrounding it for everyone in the community to enjoy.
