Preserving Natural Lands
and Historic Heritage
The Heritage Conservancy is a community-based organization dedicated to preserving and protecting significant open spaces, natural resources, and historic heritage in Pennsylvania's Bucks and Montgomery counties. The Conservancy believes everyone is responsible for stewardship and seeks to enlighten, engage, and empower others to help achieve this vision.
Heritage Conservancy has facilitated the preservation of over 15,000 acres of open space, farmland, wildlife habitat, and major watershed areas, and it also maintains a Register of Historic Places recognizing the historic and architectural integrity of about 600 structures intrinsic to the region.

Heritage Conservancy is headquartered at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, itself a historically significant building that now serves as an excellent example of “adaptive reuse,” the practice of retrofitting historic structures to give them new life and new purpose in the modern world.
